PUERTO DE LAS NIEVES

The small harbour in the northern coast of Gran Canaria is one of the must see places in the village of Agaete. With its famous rock El Dedo de Dios it attracts a lot of visitors. There you can see the ships going out, the company Fred Olsen takes you to Tenerife in less than 1 hour!

A great place to dive in the water on a hot day, and sit down in on of the surrounding restaurants to try a local fish. Daily there are all included meals for only 8-10 euros.

ERMITA DE LAS NIEVES

A beautiful chapel that dates the XVIth century Ermita de Las Nieves lies just near the sea. This chapel is important for the locals, because of the tryptic representing the Virgen de las Nieves.

In August there is a big festivity in the village gathering a lot of people from all over the island to participate in the procession of the Virgin.

IGLESIA DE CONCEPCIÓN

In the centre of the village there is a big square with its beautiful church impressing with its typical canarian architecture. The first chapel was built in the XVIth century and after being burned rebuilt in 1875 when the village started expanding.
